Integrazione Victron Cerbo - Mastervolt

By leveraging the NodeRed automation environment available on the Cerbo GX by Victron Energy, it is now possible to display third-party devices.

With the advanced features of the NodeRed automation environment available in the "Large" version of the Cerbo GX Firmware, it is possible to virtualize certain devices that are not directly recognized and automatically displayed in the Victron Energy control panel and VRM, such as some Lithium batteries.

The virtual devices currently configurable are:

  • Battery
  • Generator
  • GPS
  • Grid meter
  • Weather
  • Motor drive (e.g. electric boats)
  • PV inverter
  • Tank sensor
  • Temperature sensor

By leveraging this interesting feature, it was possible to virtualize the Mastervolt battery on the VRM portal, enabling remote visualization on the Victron cloud, locally on the control panel, and on the Smartphone App.

The connection flow is as follows: Masterbus Line → MasterBus/Modbus Interface → Terminal Server → Network Switch or direct connection to the Cerbo (ETH)

This makes it possible to take advantage of the features associated with the VRM platform, including alarms and notifications.

Below are some display examples:

In addition to the display on the Cerbo GX control panel, it is possible to view variable trends on historical charts.

Alongside is the typical "Advanced" menu screen of the Victron Energy cloud portal showing the history of viewable variables.
